This 70' x 14' Scale in Benson, Minnesota allows this Grain Operation to receive dual
wheel farm tractors with wide wheel bases directly off the farm. Other applications for
wider scales are Fertilizer Operations with Floaters and Rock Quarries that use Off Road
Trucks such as Euclids and Caterpillar, all with 12 feet plus wide wheel bases.
This scale because of its extra width can be used in facilities with restricted turning access onto the scale. Wide approaches and the 14 ft. width allows the semi's to go on and off the scale while turning in tight places. Saves money over Pit Scales.
